How to get there from the Florence centre?


The Accademia Gallery is a famous small museum in the city of Florence. It is Europe’s first art museum and drawing School, known for the famous sculptures by Michelangelo most importantly his Statue of David. The tour at Accademia Gallery would take around 1-2 hours, but still, if you want less crowd then you can set out early.

Naturally, a lot of people want to visit there. You can visit the Accademia Gallery from the Florence centre on foot, by bus or by taxi. If you want to have a walk to the Gallery from the Florence centre it would take you around 19 minutes, a taxi would take you 5 minutes and the bus would take you around 17 minutes. The Gallery is situated just beside the famous Uffizi Gallery and has housed tapestries, sculptures and precious art pieces of the most prominent artists like Michelangelo, Giambologna and Bartolini. The opening hour of Accademia Gallery is 8:15 AM to 7:15 PM and remains closed on Mondays and Saturdays.
